You can head to the Blizzard website to opt-in
If you have been having trouble getting Shadowlands' ray-tracing to kick on, Blizzard's got any help on the official forums. You'll need a GPU that supports ray tracing tier 1.1, with the TBC Classic Gold latest drivers, as well as the May 2020 update for Windows 10 -- also, of course, you'll need to be using DirectX 12.
You can head to the Blizzard website to opt-in for an opportunity at beta access, as always.
The people at Wowhead have captured a load of comparison shots to reveal what those ray-traced shadows seem like. It's a shame WoW ray tracing will not go past shadows for now, since the stylised design and easy character models would look incredible under the spotlight of extremely realistic lighting.
Blizzard first detailed Shadowlands in Blizzcon 2019. The expansion includes five brand new zones for players to explore, a revamped leveling system that compresses the old one to 60 levels and new personalization options, including the option to modify the gender of your personality without paying a fee.
Alongside a launch date, Blizzard shared Afterlives: Bastion, the first of four animated shorts developed to expand the narrative of Shadowlands. The short centers onto a familiar face in the Warcraft universe: Uther.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands big pre-expansion event is live on the test servers and it has unleashed an unfathomably large zombie plague on gamers, turning Azeroth's capital cities into undead wastelands. Countless zombies are stalking the streets, devouring any NPC they could find--even including some that provide quests--and turning them into the undead. Players that get within arm's reach may also be infected, so providing them special zom-bilities and allowing them attack other players to spread the disease. Naturally, Azeroth is in utter chaos.
To be clear, this isn't occurring in the live version of the game but on its own public servers. It is here that Blizzard tests upcoming changes to the match, like the upcoming level cap squish (max level players will now only be level 50, together with all the new level cap being 60 if Shadowlands releases) and cheap WOW Classic TBC Gold the overhauled new participant experience. But, sometime later this fall, this event will launch on live servers--and when it is anything like what's happening today, it is going to be a bloodbath.
