There exist numerous proverbs that indicate the importance of health in our lives. For example, one of the famous ones is “A sound mind in a sound body”. No one would deny that being healthy, you can achieve success in your life. On the contrary, if you are ill, your life becomes grey; you cannot be happy and lead a normal way of living. Nowadays, mankind has a lot of proverbs about health that emphasize on its importance for people. Almost everyone knows these sayings but does not realize the value of it until something goes wrong with his/her health and some illness troubles a person. This paper will partially consider one of the illnesses that occur frequently nowadays and present my thoughts and reactions on this recent project which are connected with it.

As far as you know, our class was divided into groups with each having its topic. The goal of our team was to work on the topic “Skin Cancer”. The number of patients with the diagnosis of skin cancer is growing, especially in the last 10 years, that is why it is an actual issue. I have got to know that there are about twenty thousand kinds and forms of skin diseases that vary in their complication and character. The skin reflects the state of our body and the general health. Every second person in the world during his or her life faces the phenomenon of skin disease sooner or later. That is why the issue of dermatology is so important.

First of all, I would like to share my personal impressions from the participation in the project. To say the truth, in the very beginning, I was afraid to start, because this topic seemed too difficult for me, but in the process, everything became clear and not so terrible as it was at the first sight. I believe that the main reason for it is working in a good team, in which you always feel support, positive thinking, encouragement, and belief in your abilities. Before this project, I even did not realize how it can be important to have a good team. Really, a friendly and united team is the most significant key to success. While working on the project, we were gathering several times, and each of us took part in it, made some proposals, and helped with ideas and materials for presentation. Nobody remained indifferent, everyone was active. I think that the cooperation of our teammates allowed us to make such a great presentation. Therefore, the atmosphere in our group was really nice.

Secondly, I want to admit the influence of the participation in the project on my character. While speaking with people and informing them about skin cancer, I have become more heart-opened, sympathetic to others and, of course, more communicative. Moreover, I have become more cheerful, because I know that I managed to help some people and that the information prepared by our team was useful for them.

Finally, I want to add that this project gave a magnificent opportunity to learn much about skin cancer and present this information to people. It is worth saying that there are many prevention measures how to avoid skin cancer. We should be well-informed to face illnesses with dignity and survive in this struggle; our health depends on us and our efforts. Good health will not only prevent disease, but also make our lives more enjoyable and longer. In conclusion, I want to wish everybody such things so as to be healthy, wealthy, and wise.
