MTN DEW, the official soft drink of the NBA, has signed NBA All-Star Zach LaVine to its national roster of athletes alongside NBA All-Star forward Zion Williamson and reigning WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson. LaVine's debut with MTN DEW includes his appearance in NBA 2K22 – officially out today – where he will be a "quest-giving" personality in The City* and take MyPLAYERS through a variety of 3-Point challenges.

As part of his debut with MTN DEW, and an expanded partnership between MTN DEW and 2K, LaVine will appear in the newest edition of the video game as a "quest-giving" personality in The City, where players using PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles can engage in various minigames and off-the-court activities.

In NBA 2K22, the 3-Point Contest will include The Dew Zone green balls. The green balls debuted in the real-life event earlier this year. They were positioned in two locations between the normal racks at the top of the arc and the wing. One ball on each rack was the green ball worth three points if made. Normal balls are worth one point apiece during the contest.
