At every stage of hydrocarbon production, managing H2S removal is a challenge. H2S mitigation techniques are used in the downstream, midstream, and upstream sectors to protect the environment, protect workers, avoid corrosion and bad odors, and protect the value of refined products and physical assets. As SRBs digest the oil, even crude that has already been treated may produce more H2S. Testing and treatment are required at various stages of the manufacturing process.
