Steamforged Games' partnership and Jagex is the most recent in a string of collaborations that bring some of gaming's biggest franchises into a tabletop environment with OSRS Gold. The tabletop gaming giant has previously created board games based off of series such as Monster Hunter World and Dark Souls and recently finished an enormously successful Kickstarter campaign for the Resident Evil 2 board game that raised more than 1 million GBP earlier this year.

Now, the developer is aiming at the Gielinor world and RuneScape and plans to launch the board game as well as the core book for tabletop RPGs this year. The two RPG versions will include many of RuneScape's top characters and locations, allowing a group of five or more players to challenge classic quests found in RuneScape in addition to bringing the adventures within The world of Gielinor to the home of Gielinor.

Players will be able to design and upgrade equipment, communicate with NPCs and undertake various side-quests inspired of the original MMORPG. The board game will go live with a Kickstarter campaign later in the year, while the tabletop RPG book is scheduled to debut in stores.

The core book for tabletop RPGs will be notably compatible with the massive tabletop RPG Dungeons and Dragons the fifth edition of the core books, allowing the dungeon masters to seamlessly integrate elements of RuneScape into their games.

Jagex CEO Phil Mansell was optimistic about the project , expressing his excitement about the Kickstarter program "involving people from the RuneScape groups," as Steamforged CCO Mat Hart believed the "rich RuneScape universe will be beautifully translated" into a tabletop-based environment.

RuneScape has been expanding significantly from its browser-based origins over the past few years, with Steamforged's board game being the most recent game from Jagex. In an interview, a variety of Jagex employees talked about the idea of transitioning the mobile version of RuneScape into the cross-platform edition in September, the game was launched.

Jagex collaborated with the creator of the well-known Old School RuneScape mod RuneLite HD to make the HD version available to every player. Steamforged's new board game will offer the fans of RuneScape a second opportunity to explore all the adventures of Gielinor and develop their own adventures.

Runescape developer Jagex's publishing wing has picked up a promising indie release for the Jagex Partners Label, making Melvor Idle an independent now. The idler-style game, similar to games like Clicker Heroes or Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, launched on Steam this year, and carries its inspirations from Jagex's mainstay Runescape with pride.

Melvor Idle is a detailed multi-track idler that strives to reinvent "the fundamental elements to the Cheap RS Gold franchise in a way that they can be enjoyed casually," says the publisher. It's a fairly feature-rich idle game, one which has plenty of items to develop and improve, as well in a focus on no quality mechanics, which require a restart.
