CRITERION FOR ESSAY

Criterion 1 - organisation of the text
This criterion assesses the logic and structure of the statement, adherence to the proposed plan, use of logical means of communication (linking words) and paragraphing. 3 marks maximum.

There is no exact indication in the criterion of the number of paragraphs in the essay. However, the easiest and safest way is www.freeessaywriters.net or to divide your essay into as many paragraphs as there are points in the proposed outline. In recent years, these points have been five.

Criterion 2 - vocabulary
This criterion is easy to tackle. The words you use should be relevant to the topic you are writing about and should be sufficient to convey all your thoughts.

You should try to use advanced vocabulary, as only then can you get full marks. If you have used all the words without mistakes, but at the same time your vocabulary is limited, you will be given only two marks out of three.

Criterion 3 - grammar
This criterion is also easy to tackle. For maximum score, you must write grammatically correct. There are no clues about the complexity of grammatical structures (as opposed to lexical ones), so it's best to use grammar you know well. Better still, make your advanced grammar well known and use it in your essay. The maximum for this criterion is also 3 points.

Criterion number one is the most important. If you get 0 marks for solving a communicative task, then the whole task is automatically assessed at 0 marks, regardless of how well it is written and how well it is organised.

In the first case, there is a substitution with an emotional example. Personal experience is too subjective to be used in an exam essay. In the second case, the argument is replaced with a general sentence that does not express anything in essence.

In conclusion, we summarise everything that has been said, generalise and draw conclusions.... That is to say, in many ways, we are repeating the information already mentioned, but, firstly, we are using different words and, secondly, we are looking at it from a slightly different perspective.

More details about the role of the introduction, the main part and the conclusion can be found in the article, as well as about common arguments and mistakes - in the article.
