Mass. court dismisses lawsuit in death of ex-Tiger Mark Fidr

Fidrych, 54, died on his farm in 2009 while working on a dump truck after his clothes became tangled in Leonard Floyd Jersey a spinning part and suffocated him. His widow, Ann Pantazis, sued the makers of the truck and the spinning part in 2012, claiming they didnt provide appropriate warnings, the AP report states.

The suit also claimed the truck was defective when sold to Fidrych in the 1980s Anthony Miller Jersey , according to other media reports. Meanwhile, the companies claimed Gale Sayers Jersey Fidrych had modified the truck in a way that contributed to the accident.
The appeals court ruled unanimously Monday that the companies did provided adequate warnings and were under no legal obligation to provide additional warnings after Fidrych modified the equipment, according to the AP. The court also ruled that the equipment had no design defects.

The flamboyant and popular Fidrych won the 1976 AL Rookie of the Year after Charles Leno Jersey going 19-9 with a league-leading 2.34 ERA. His career was soon derailed by injuries and he pitched his last MLB game in 1980.
