Family, friends and teammates of Tyler Skaggs gathered Monday in his hometown of Santa Monica, California,for a memorial service to remember the Angels pitcher.

Kyle Barraclough Jersey Hundreds were in attendance aseulogies were read by14 speakers,including fellow Los Angeles pitcher Andrew Heaney.

"Take a moment, close your eyes and think of a story or even an image that reminds you of all the good times you had with Ty," Heaney said, . "Take that memory and hold it in your hearts and in your minds. That is his lasting gift to everyone here.

"He Blank Jersey was a genuine and caring person. His friendship is something that I'll always remember and cherish. He was the best friend anybody could ask for."

Skaggs' Max Scherzer Jersey wife, Carli, also found the strength to say a few words.

The current Angels and team owner Arte Morenowere joined by several former members of the organization, including manager Mike Scioscia, Jered Weaver, Garrett Richards,David FreeseandMatt Shoemaker. Other players in attendance included Brewers outfielderRyan Braun, Cardinals pitcher Jack Flahertyand free-agent infielder Trevor Plouffe.

The Major League Baseball Players Trust also made a $45,000 donation to the Tyler Skaggs Baseball Foundation, which supports youth sports, projects Daniel Hudson Jersey and family services, earlier Monday.

Skaggs was found dead July 1 at the team's hotel in Texas Victor Robles Jersey le s than twoweeks before his 28th birthday.

Whileno foul play was suspected, a cause of death has yet to be revealed and likely won't be announced until October.
