Like most I began playing RuneScape

After playing with RuneScape gold it for bit in a closed room I began combining concepts and mechanics of classic MMOs together with the well-known idle game design, making something that could be played casually, on the go, and fit it into the busy life of a player."

He goes on to say: "While the numbers and statistics stuff isn't something that all players are most interested in when playing MMOs However, it's what gamers who are hardcore tend to gravitate towards after the exploration is finished. Because it's so integral to what the longest term players' minds are on it makes sense to integrate this feature as a core part of Melvor's game's design. It also blends well with common design elements in many games with no play."

While he was influenced by other MMOs The structure is the main focus of RuneScape was one he studied particularly closely, building out its world Melvor Idle into a parallel world with the 20-year-old RPG. "RuneScape was a fundamental reference point for the game since it was such a foundational sport for me" He explains."

Like most I began playing RuneScape due to the fact that a majority of my acquaintances at the time was playing the game. Its being browser-based was a big part of this. The very low entry barrier combined with RuneScape's branching depth and complexity are what kept me playing the game for a long time -- something I wanted to emulate with Melvor Idle."

With Malcolm who was open about his inspiration the word quickly spread to Jagex that an avid fan was developing a game based off its own MMO. A member of cheap RS gold staff flagged it to management, with Director of Product Management Chris Pfeiffer telling us his team was impressed by "how much was achieved and how much corresponds with RuneScape."
