This is just the latest expansion for Blizzard because the legendary WOTLK Gold Activision Studio Vicarious Visions was recently folded into Blizzard as a way to support this World of Warcraft franchise.

The terms of Blizzard's agreement with Proletariat weren't disclosed, but it's the company's first big buyout since it purchased Swinging Ape in 2005.

John Hight, the general manager of World of Warcraft at Blizzard announced that the deal to buy Proletariat will help Blizzard remain on top of demands of the WoW fans.

"As you're probably aware that players in World of Warcraft have a massive appetite for content" Hight said. "And what we've seen in the last year is that we need to expand how much content we're able to create and the frequency with which we're placing it in the hands by our gamers."

Hight stated that Proletariat is a perfect fit for Blizzard due to the fact that the team was experienced with medieval fantasy and stylized art, both of which are popular themes in WoW. Blizzard began to talk to Proletariat in buy WOTLK Classic Gold the fall of 2021. the studio collaborated with Blizzard from May of this year.
